Governance

The affairs of Kainos Community Church are managed by the Board of Directors in a manner that is consistent with the laws of the State of Texas, the Articles of Incorporation, and By-laws.

Rukia

Dr. Rukeia Draw

Chairperson

Dr. Draw joined Kainos Community Church in 2013 and was elected to the Board of Directors as chairperson in 2016.  has over twenty years of experience in the non-profit sector serving youth and volunteers previously in parachurch ministries and now in higher education where she leads strategic planning and manages human and financial resources totaling over $3M annually. She holds theological degrees and has served as adjunct instructor of Church Administration and Black Church History.  
Mike

Michael Adams

Vice-Chairperson

Mr. Adams joined the Board of Directors in 2016.  He became chairperson shortly afterward.  He loves the Lord and loves to serve others.  He has been a volunteer in the audio/video ministry for over 20 years, since 2001.  He has worked as a supervisor for more than 20 years in the transportation industry.

Johnnie Simmons

Treasurer

Mr. Simmons has been a member of and treasurer for the Board of Directors since 2018.  He was raised in church and joined Kainos in 2009.  From 1990 to the present, his employment background includes finance, oil and gas.

Claudette Theodile

Secretary

Ms. Theodile has been a member of Kainos Community Church since 2006.  She has served many terms on the board, beginning in 2016 and again in 2018 to the present.  She has twenty years of management experience in the fields of healthcare and management information systems.  She has twenty years of management experience in health care and management information systems.  She holds double masters in MIS and project management. One of her spiritual gifts includes exhortation. 
Judith

Elder Judith Hodges

Chaplain

Elder Judith has been a dedicated member of Kainos Community Church for 23 years, serving faithfully as a board member for the past 10 years in various capacities. Currently, she holds the role of Chaplain, a position that allows her to provide spiritual guidance and support to the board and congregation. With 30 years of experience in corporate administration, she brings strong organizational skills, leadership, and a commitment to service that align with the responsibilities of Chaplain. Her combined experience in ministry and the corporate world enables her to effectively support the mission and vision of the church.
