Pastor Yolande Herron-Palmore graduated from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia with a B.S. in Psychology. She received her Masters of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in New York City. Doctor Herron-Palmore has completed a course of study program for alcohol/drug counseling at the Cadwalder Behavioral Institute in Houston, Texas and earned her Doctor of Ministry Degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. Her doctoral emphasis was on healing and wholeness in the life of a Christian, leading her dissertation topic to be "When The Saved Become Free:" Pastor Herron-Palmore has distinguished herself as a gifted teacher and preacher. One of her sermons has been published in the book, Those Preaching Women, edited by Ella Mitchell. She has a dynamic ministry to women and is a powerful preacher/teacher. Her ministry has taken her throughout this country and to Jamaica where she served a short-termed foreign mission assignment. For nine years she served as Associate Pastor of the Windsor Village United Methodist Church, Houston, Texas. She has pastored Kainos with her husband for 13 years. Pastor Herron-Palmore, a pioneer as a woman in Ministry, has recently celebrated 34 years in Ministry and she has been honored in the Houston Chronicle Religion Section. She has founded Restored Peace Ministries. A unique blend of experiences as pastor, teacher, wife, mother, daughter, friend, she comes with a real and authentic view, a broader perspective and a good understanding of the shattered peices of people's lives. She has been called to co-create a life of peace with God for women in particular, or people who are in chaotic, anxious-driven and discontented lives. Her ministry has taken her throughout this country restoring peace in the lives of people. Pastor Yolande is married to Pastor Joe C. Palmore. They are the parents of two adult sons, Joseph and Geoffrey. |
